Not Fade away..

One month then two and so on, passed quickly for both men. They had even gone through Isabella’s first anniversary, which was an incredibly tough time. But in a few short months from now, Duncan and Rubin would have completed their twelve years of service. As far as both men were concerned September couldn’t have come soon enough.

Yes Jessica did marry the business man. It had been a beautiful day as far as the weather was concerned. Rubin had been watching from across the road, from the Marylebone register office. He didn’t actually believe she would go through with it. But she did, like everything she said she would do. She looked lovely as she stepped out of the blue chauffeur driven Bentley, no doubt her future husband’s, as it was far too new for it to be a hired vehicle for the day. He laughed to himself. He was proud of the way his friend was starting to come out of the ‘dark black hole’ that he had been emerged in, since that fateful day.

Since the day he had thrown Duncan in the shower, he hadn’t touched a drop of drink. Yes he was very proud of Duncan, if it had been him, he would still be in the bottle, and it would have been thrown out to sea, with a letter saying ‘Do not open’. He took a final look, breathing
